Parliament - Mothership Connection - 1975
"パーラメント" は1955年に14歳の"ジョージ・クリントン"が結成したドゥーワップグループ、「ザ・パーラメンツ」を母体としたファンクバンドです。1970年にインヴィクタスレーベルと契約し1枚のアルバムを発表した後、1974年から1980年にカサブランカレーベルに9枚のアルバムを残しました。"パーラメント"と同じメンバー構成の"ファンカデリック"（No.084で紹介）という名のバンドもあり、"ブーツィー・コリンズ"を含めた彼らの作る音楽が"P-FUNK"と呼ばれ、SOUL・FUNKシーンにおいて一つのカテゴリーとして確立されています。
